The Border Terrier Club of Central Ohio (BTCCO) has requested and received approval for a BTCA Supported Entry at the Central Ohio Kennel Club show on Sunday, November 18, 2007.  The BTCA Supported Entry will be held on the last day of a 4-day cluster at the Ohio State Fairgrounds in Columbus, Ohio (November 13, 14, 15, and 16, 2008).

The BTTCO is again holding a BTCA Supported Entry at this 4-day cluster.  This year we will be having BTCA Supported Entries on BOTH Saturday and Sunday.  This cluster traditionally draws majors (sometimes on all 4 days) and we have had 4 and 5 point dog and bitch majors the last two years on Saturday and Sunday.

 

Additionally, we will be holding our first BTCA Supported Puppy Sweepstakes on Sunday, November 16.  Our Puppy Sweepstakes judge will be Ms. Karen E. Fitzpatrick.  The puppy classes will be as follows:

 

Junior Puppy Dog and Bitch, 6 to 9 months

Junior Puppy Dog and Bitch, 9 to 12 months

 

Senior Puppy Dog and Bitch, 12 to 15 months

Senior Puppy Dog and Bitch, 15 to 18 months

 

We will be offering great trophies/prizes for the following classes:

 

Saturday and Sunday (November 15 and 16)

BOB, BOS, BOW, WD, WB 
1st Place Working Dog, Working Bitch

1st Place Veteran Dog, Veteran Bitch (ages 7 and up)

 

Sunday (November 16)

Puppy Sweepstakes

 

Best in Sweeps and Best of Opposite in Sweeps

Best Junior Puppy and Best of Opposite Junior Puppy

Best Senior Puppy and Best of Opposite Senior Puppy

1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th place in each puppy sweepstakes class

 

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS A HOME OHIO STATE VERSUS MICHIGAN FOOTBALL GAME WEEKEND SO YOU NEED TO MAKE YOUR MOTEL/HOTEL RESERVATIONS EARLY!!!!!

OTHER UPCOMING EVENTS


We  are making progress towards our goal of hosting AKC Agility Trials. Two Agility Trials will be held at the Buckeye Ranch Equestrian Center in Grove City, Ohio on December 5th and 6th (2008) and February 15th and 16th (2009) The trial coordinator and secretary is Wild Weavers of Ohio. This group sponsors several agility events each year. We are proceeding with the paperwork necessary for BTCA and AKC approval.
